新たなスタイルの越前打刃物。

越前打刃物の技
ブレードは、国の伝統的工芸品の1つである福井県越前市の「越前打刃物」を使用。タケフナイフビレッジ協同組合の職人が、昔ながらの火造り鍛造・手仕上げの伝統を守りながら、1つ1つ作り上げる打刃物の美しい切れ味は、一度使うとやみつきになります。
The blade of this product is "Echizen Uchihamono", which is one of the traditional crafts of Japan from Echizen. The artisans of Takefu Knife Village have made these knives with traditional methods for 700 years.
Once you use these knives, you'll be attracted by their beautiful shapeness.
眼鏡枠のアセテート
口金には、眼鏡枠のアセテートを使用し、大正ロマンを感じさせるべっ甲風のデザインのものを採用。透明感のある落ち着いた色合いの中に、さりげない存在感が光ります。
The connect part between handle and blade is made from cellulose acetate which are used for the frame of the glasses.
The color is subdued, but it has natural and calm brightness.
こだわりの桐
包丁の柄には、越前市の伝統的工芸品の1つである、「越前箪笥」の材料としても多く用いられている「桐」を使用。
桐は、優しい色合いで上品な質感があり、なおかつ湿気に強く、丈夫で、見た目だけではなく機能性にも優れています。
The handle of the knife is made of paulownia wood, same as "Echizen Chest" which is one of the traditional crafts of Japan from Echizen.
The color is calm and looks elegant, and has features of being strong against humidity and molds.
和紙の優しいぬくもり
1500年も昔から続く福井県越前市の伝統的工芸品の一つ「越前和紙」。
昔ながらの製法で一枚一枚作られる手漉きの和紙ならではの優しいぬくもりで、大切に包み、あなたのもとへお届けします。
"Echizen Washi" is one of the traditional crafts of Japan from Echizen and it has the history of 1500 years. Echizen washi has been made by hand one by one with the traditional methods. We wrap our products with it and send for you.

EZZEN -桐-
EZZEN 菜切り
菜切型の両刃包丁。一般的な菜切包丁よりも幅がスリム。スタイリッシュながら、大きな野菜もしっかり切れる安定感があります。
-Nakiri-
The blade of this Nakiri is narrow than general one. It is not only stylish but also stable enough when you cut.
EZZEN シェフナイフ
牛刀型の両刃包丁よりも、背の部分の丸みが少ないのが特徴。幅・刃渡りともに大きいため、大きな食材がとても切りやすいのが利点です。
-Chef knife-
The upper part of this knife is more straight than general gyuto. It has
enough length and width for cutting .
EZZEN 牛刀
牛刀型の両刃包丁。大きな肉の塊などを切るのに適しています。お肉、お野菜や果物など、万能にお使い頂けます。
-Gyuto-
Gyuto is especially suit for cutting big chunk of meat. You can use this to cut meats, fruits, vegetables and fish fillet.
EZZEN ペティ-刀-
ペティサイズの両刃包丁。日本では「果物ナイフ」とも呼ばれます。小さく小回りが利くので、手元でちょっと使いたいときに便利です。
-Petty Katana-
As petty knife is called ""fruit knife" in Japan, this is suit for cutting small stuffs. This is easy to control in hands.

ペティサイズの両刃包丁。丸みを帯びた特徴的な刃の形には、「魅せる包丁さばき」というこだわりがあります。

This petty knife has round shape.
It would make a nice cutting performance in front of others.
越前打刃物
Echizen Knives
「越前打刃物」は、国から指定を受けた
「伝統的工芸品」の1つであり、
700年の歴史があると言われています。
1337年 (南北朝時代) に、
京都の刀匠・千代鶴国安が
刀剣製作に適した地を求めたどり着いたのが、
府中 (現・福井県越前市) でした。
刀剣制作のかたわら、近隣の農民のために
「鎌」を作ったことが始まりといわれています。
その技術は、時代に合わせて形を変えつつ、
代々受け継がれ、現在まで発展を続けてきました。
タケフナイフビレッジ協同組合では、
越前打刃物の伝統である
「日本古来の火づくり鍛造」「手仕上」を守りながら、
各種料理包丁、鎌、ナタ、刈込はさみ、などを
造り続けています。
"Echizen Knives" is one of the certificated traditional craft of Japan
and has 700 years hitory.
In 1337,
Chiyozuru-Kuniyasu, a swordsmith from Kyoto,
arrived "Fuchu", present Echizen-city,
to search good water for making sword.
He made sickles for neighbors while his work, which is the begining of Echizen Knives.
Those technics have been passed to
next genarations, and still grow up.
In Takefu Knife Village,
craftsmen keep the traditional method
as "forging" and "finishing by hand"
and create kinds of kitchen knives,
sickles, trimming shears and more.

Graduated from Parsons School of Design in New York City with a BFA degree in Communication Design/ Illustration.
越前市出身。
パーソンズ・スクール・オブ・デザイン美術大学コミュニケーションデザイン学科、イラストレーション学科卒業。
卒業後5年間、New Yorkでテキスタイルデザイナーとして勤務。GAP, Carter’s, OLDNAVY, Victoria’s Secret, TopShop, AnnTaylor など数々のアパレル、雑貨ブランドのテキスタイルデザインを制作。パリ、ロンドン、LA、NY、トロントにて毎年テキスタイルショーに出品。
2006年より生まれ故郷である福井県越前市に移り住み、New York、東京、地元福井からの仕事として、ブランディングアドバイザー、ロゴデザイン、イラストレーション、テキスタイルデザイン、グラフィックデザイン、パッケージなど「新しく、コンセプトが伝わる、インパクトのあるもの」を数多く生み出しているパワフルなクリエーターである。
